Siddharth Desai’s extraordinary performance in a Ranji Trophy match resulted in him taking nine wickets against Uttarakhand, setting a new record for Gujarat cricket with figures of 9-36. His feat surpassed Rakesh Vinubhai Dhurv’s previous record from 2012. Uttarakhand were bowled out for 111 runs in just 30 overs. In a related feat, Haryana bowler Anshul Kamboj became one of only six Indians to take all ten wickets in a first-class innings, achieving this rare achievement against Kerala in November last year.
