India’s Fast-Track Special Courts have managed to dispose of 52% of rape and Pocso cases since October 2019, yet over two lakh cases remain pending. To clear this backlog within a year, these courts need to process around 554 cases daily. The report suggests making all designated courts operational and adding at least 1,000 more FTSCs.
