As of July 19, nearly 39% of high court judge vacancies remained unaddressed, according to law minister Arjun Ram Meghwal. Out of 357 vacant posts, HC collegiums had only sent 219 recommendations, leaving 138 positions without proposals, delaying the appointments process.
