The DRDO and IIT-Delhi have developed lightweight bulletproof jackets named ‘ABHED’ offering 360-degree protection. Made from polymers and boron carbide ceramic material, these jackets are set for technology transfer to three Indian industries. This initiative aims to enhance domestic defence production capabilities.
