GST council meet: ‘GoM to examine tax rate on health insurance policy’
The GST Council has established a group of ministers to scrutinize the GST rate on health insurance policies. Currently, premiums for both health and life insurance are subject to an 18% tax. This initiative was announced during the 54th GST council meeting, chaired by Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi.
