The Indian Air Force inaugurated the runway at Navi Mumbai airport with an Airbus C-295 landing, followed by a Sukhoi SU-30 flypast. Commercial operations are slated for March next year. The airport will feature a lotus-inspired terminal and multimodal connectivity. Once operational, it will manage about 1,500 flights daily alongside Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
