Identify all undertrials eligible for bail, SC tells jail authorities

The Supreme Court directed jail superintendents to identify undertrial prisoners, including women, who have completed one-third or half of their potential sentences. This directive aims to ensure these eligible individuals, even those facing lesser charges, are considered for bail as per Section 479 of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.
