Following the arrest of Hindu leader Chinmoy Krishna Das on sedition charges, India’s Congress party has urged the government to press Bangladesh on ensuring the safety and security of minorities. Clashes between security forces and Das’s followers resulted in a lawyer’s death. Bangladesh’s foreign ministry criticized India’s concern, stating it doesn’t interfere with its judiciary.
