After 129 hearings over 11 years, a special MP-MLA court fined Samajwadi Party MLA Nahid Hasan Rs 100 for making derogatory remarks against Narendra Modi and Mayawati during the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. Hasan was convicted for the comments made at an event in Shamli. He could face one-month imprisonment if he fails to pay.
