Earlier this year, BCCI did not include Ishan in the annual central contracts after he ignored board’s directive to participate in domestic cricket. Last year, Ishan had taken a mental health break in December and only made his return to action in IPL 2024. He was then ignored for T20 World Cup and following three white-ball series.
