Former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was shot dead outside his son’s office in Kher Nagar, Mumbai, on Dussehra evening. The assailants, three unknown men, attacked him around 9.30 pm; two have been detained, and one is on the run. Police suspect possible links to a Slum Rehabilitation Authority dispute and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
