A bomb explosion in northwestern Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province killed at least five people and injured many others. The blast occurred in the Tappi Dawar area of North Waziristan district. In a separate incident, a suicide bomber blew himself up near a police van in the province’s Charsadda district, but no casualties were reported.
