Delhi high court has declined to dismiss a defamation case against Shashi Tharoor for his 2018 remark likening Prime Minister Modi to a ‘scorpion’. The trial court issued a summons following a criminal defamation suit by BJP leader Rajiv Babbar. Tharoor later clarified that he quoted an RSS leader’s metaphor.
