The Karnataka high court directed a special court to defer proceedings against CM Siddaramaiah regarding the Mysuru Urban Development Authority site allotment controversy. Justice M Nagaprasanna issued this interim order until August 29, after Siddaramaiah’s legal team challenged the governor’s sanction to prosecute him. The CM’s counsel accused the governor of ignoring cabinet advice and issuing an unreasoned sanction.
