In Rajasthan’s Deeg district, six children under 10 years old have died from diphtheria in the last 30 days despite high immunisation rates. Among the deceased, two were vaccinated, three were not, and the immunisation status of the sixth is unknown. Health officials have begun further tests to understand the outbreak.
