An encounter occurred between security forces and Naxalites in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district during an anti-Naxalite operation. Seven Maoists, including a couple involved in the deadly 2021 Tekulguda ambush, surrendered citing dissatisfaction with the Maoist ideology and government rehabilitation incentives. The operation received significant assistance from police and CRPF battalions.
