Engineer Rashid, recently out on interim bail in a terror-funding case, has vowed to back opposition INDIA bloc candidates in Jammu and Kashmir if they pledge to restore Article 370. Rashid further said if India desires to achieve the dream of being a global power, it will have to “address the Kashmir issue”. Rashid emerged victorious from Baramulla against Omar Abdullah in the 2024 Parliamentary elections held earlier this year.
