Former J&K minister Taj Mohiuddin announced his resignation from the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) and his return to the Congress. He stated that his workers advised the move. “My workers asked me to rejoin the Congress, so I decided to leave the DPAP and rejoin the Congress,” he said. With assembly elections on the horizon, he expressed readiness to contest if granted a ticket by Congress.
