Two foreign mountaineers, Michelle Theresa Dvorak from the USA and Fay Jane Manners from the UK, were safely rescued after being stranded for days at 6,015 metres on their ascent to the Chaukhamba III peak in Uttarakhand. Despite fog and adverse weather, the joint efforts of the Indian Air Force, SDRF, and State Disaster Management Authority ensured their safe return.
