BCCI secretary Jay Shah on Tuesday emphasised the need to balance the coexistence of multiple cricket formats soon after being elected unopposed as new ICC chairman. Acknowledging the challenges ahead, Shah stated that it is the global body’s goal to make cricket more inclusive and popular than ever before. Shah, who became the youngest person ever to hold this position, was the lone candidate for the chairmanship after current chair Greg Barclay opted not to seek a third term.
