Labour Party MP Mike Amesbury has been suspended after CCTV footage showed him punching a man. Amesbury claimed he felt threatened during the incident. He reported the altercation to Cheshire Police and will cooperate with their investigation. Amesbury has represented Cheshire since 2017 and was previously a shadow minister.
