Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas chief, was killed in an attack on his residence in Tehran, as announced by both Hamas and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Haniyeh was in Tehran for President Masoud Pezeshkian’s swearing-in. The IRGC is investigating the incident. “The cause is under investigation and will be announced soon,” it added.
