Jay Shah has been elected unopposed as the next Independent Chair of the International Cricket Council (ICC), succeeding Greg Barclay on December 1, 2024. Shah, currently BCCI honorary secretary and Chair of the Asian Cricket Council, aims to globalize cricket, balance multiple formats, and capitalize on cricket’s inclusion in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
