BJP declared 29 additional candidates for the J&K assembly elections, including replacing former deputy CM Nirmal Singh with Satish Sharma and reaffirming Devender Singh Rana’s candidacy. The party has announced candidates for 45 segments so far but hasn’t named nominees for Nowshera and Gandhinagar yet. Protests had erupted earlier, leading to a temporary withdrawal of the list.
