Lahore reports over 15,000 respiratory cases in one day due to toxic haze

Lahore, Pakistan, is grappling with hazardous smog, recording a pollution index of 1165. Hospitals are overwhelmed with respiratory illness cases, exceeding 15,000 in a day. The severe air pollution, attributed to industrial emissions and other factors, has prompted school closures, outdoor activity bans, and emergency measures by authorities.
