Rajesh Kumar, a wanted criminal involved in over 50 cases, including murder and extortion, was killed in a police encounter in Meerut. Kumar, who fired at the police, was injured and later died in the hospital. Another incident in Khurja saw the arrest of two men for the murder of an Armyman earlier this month.
