The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) mandated the use of NCERT textbooks for classes 9 to 12 starting this academic year. Schools were urged to use NCERT books for classes 1 to 8. Private publishers’ books remain an option for subjects where NCERT versions are unavailable.
