Three people died, and a policeman is critically injured due to banned nylon manja during Makar Sankranti celebrations in Maharashtra. Incidents occurred in Nashik, Akola, and Nandurbar, where victims’ throats were slit while riding bikes. Two individuals also died chasing kites, and several others were injured. Police registered 19 offences for using illegal nylon manja, seizing materials worth Rs 35,350.
