A $128,680 yacht owned by Robert Powell was attacked and sunk by a pod of killer whales during a trip from Portugal to Greece. The pod targeted critical parts of the vessel, causing it to sink despite efforts to deter them. Rescue arrived hours later, and the crew was evacuated safely.
