Rahul Gandhi, leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha, stopped his car midway on Friday in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, to meet a cobbler’s family. The cobbler, Ram Chait, informed the Rae Bareli MP about his financially weak condition and sought his help. Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi appeared before the Sultanpur MP/MLA court regarding a defamation case lodged against him for alleged objectionable remarks directed at Union home minister Amit Shah.
