Sri Lanka faced a major setback before their ODI series against India as pacers Dilshan Madushanka and Matheesha Pathirana were ruled out due to injuries. Madushanka sustained a Grade 2 hamstring injury, while Pathirana suffered a mild shoulder sprain. Eshan Malinga and Mohammed Shiraz have been called up to replace them, with three players added as standbys.
