A small asteroid measuring about 1 meter burned up harmlessly in Earth’s atmosphere over the Philippines on Wednesday. NASA stated that the asteroid, named 2024 RW1, was discovered by astronomers in Arizona just hours before it disintegrated. These small asteroids enter Earth’s atmosphere roughly every two weeks without posing any danger.
