A US court has fined Sterlite Tech $96 million for obtaining trade secrets from Italian rival Prysmian. The jury concluded that Sterlite unlawfully acquired customer and manufacturing information. Sterlite, part of Vedanta Group, plans to challenge the verdict. Prysmian North America CEO Andrea Pirondini welcomed the decision affirming the protection of trade secrets.
