Paramjeet Singh Bisht, a 23-year-old from Khalla village in Uttarakhand, faced ridicule while training for the men’s 20km race walk. Despite challenges, he honed his talent with support from his school coach and will now represent India at the Paris Olympics. Bisht is also a national record holder and enlisted in the Navy under the sports quota.
