A 35-year-old volunteer, Sanjay Roy, was arrested within hours of a special investigation team being formed for the rape and murder of a 31-year-old postgraduate trainee doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital. The postmortem report confirmed sexual assault, and CCTV footage showed Roy entering the hospital premises intoxicated. The accused faces 14 days of police custody.
