A new lawsuit filed by Missouri’s attorney general alleges that Starbucks is unlawfully relying on “race-and-sex-based hiring practices.”
Israel and Hezbollah trade strikes as diplomats push for peace with a potential new ceasefire deal. The proposed deal would include a 60-day ceasefire, during which Israeli troops would withdraw from Lebanon. In return, Hezbollah would retreat north of the Litani River. Mumbai Police arrested Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, accused of stabbing Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan. Following the attack, Shehzad evaded arrest until police tracked him using CCTV footage and payment records. Shehzad is in custody, facing multiple charges, including possible international conspiracy involvement.
The Supreme Court will hear arguments Friday challenging the federal TikTok ban. Right now, the ban is set to go into effect January 19 unless TikTok’s parent company, China-based ByteDance, sells the app. CBS News Supreme Court and legal producer Catherine Cole has more.
