Holy site razed, protests erupt in Odisha, Jharkhand

Tension erupted in Odisha’s Keonjhar district after vandals desecrated a 200-year-old worship place in Jharkhand’s Jayantigarh village. The incident led to road blockades and market closures in both states. Protesters halted inter-state traffic by blocking NH-20. Police have deployed forces to prevent further incidents and convened a peace committee meeting to restore calm.
