TRAI cracks down on spam callers: 50 entities blacklisted, 2.75L numbers disconnected

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has taken decisive action against spam calls by blocking over 50 companies and disconnecting more than 2.75 lakh mobile numbers. New regulations require Access Providers to prevent promotional calls from unregistered sources, aiming to reduce spam and improve consumer telecom experiences.
