What’s behind the large rise in food allergies among children in the UK?

Food allergies in England doubled between 2008 and 2018, with preschool children showing the highest rates at 4 percent, according to researchers from Imperial College London. A third of those at risk of anaphylaxis do not carry essential adrenaline autoinjectors, and individuals in deprived areas are less likely to have these life-saving prescriptions.
